Alerion Celtigar is the firstborn son of Lord Aelyx Celtigar and Lady Donella Brune who perished giving birth to him. He is the current lord of Claw Isle since the passing of his father 13 years prior to a chill.
Looks and Character[]
Alerion is a big muscular man, who towers over most men. His skin is very pale, almost corpse like. He has sea-blue cold eyes, cruel eyes with not the least of warmth to them. He is more comfortable in plate and mail than in silks and velvets. And prefers the black heavy plate with the big ruby in the middle of the chestplate, given to him by his father. Alerion's face is not made for smiles, but for scowls and frowns. He is a hard, hateful man who has many regrets and even more hate for the world. He often broods, doesn't talk much, and doesn't enjoy the company of anyone but his soldiers.
History[]
Early Life (407-422 AC)[]
Alerion has never been a popular, nor a much beloved child. He grew up as a silent child, and was never shown much love. He was shunned by many for his pale skin, believing him half an Other. Alerion took this very personally and so vented all his rage and hatred on the training yard, as a result, growing god-like with an axe. When his uncle and his children with Alys Stokeworth all perished to a storm on their way back home from touring the free cities, the title of Lord of Claw Isle fell to his father, Lord Aelyx Celtigar. He never took much interest in his son, and less so when he became a lord and many tasks fell onto his shoulders. He, like many of his family members toured the Nine Free Cities and there learned to speak High Valyrian. He also took a great interest in ships and ship construction.
Teenage and Early Adult Life (422-424 AC)[]
After growing of age, Alerion's lord father Aelyx Celtigar offered Alerion to many a lady, and was rejected every time. It wasn't the house, or the wealth, it was Alerion himself they rejected, going so far as to make suggestions that they would rather marry their daughter to his more attractive uncle Aerion Celtigar. The would-be brides' smiles and curious giggles would die as soon as they laid eyes upon his pale, lifeless face, and pale cold sea blue eyes. Once, after returning from yet another rejected betrothal offer to a Rosby, Alerion grew so mad that he punched a man to death after mocking him.
A Bitter Campaign(424-426 AC)[]
Alerion's military strength would first truly come to shine at the age of 18, the year when he turned to Lord Celtigar of Claw Isle after his father's sudden death of a heart stroke, as a result of gluttony. When pirates came raiding from the Stepstones, it was Alerion who, with his only true friend and companion, Ser Daron Staunton stopped the stepstone raids and fought a bitter campaign against the pirates, earning Alerion his many scars, and his best friend Ser Daron Staunton, his death, drowning in full plate armor.
The Brooding Man (426-438 AC)[]
Since then, Alerion hasn't left Claw Isle and has been brooding over his life and mistakes for a long time, not joining in the wars that occured during the Bleeding. The rest of his family, established themselves elsewhere, knowing that they won't have a chance at Claw Isle for a long time, considering Alerion's young age and health. His youngest aunt, the lady Elaenor Celtigar who left to for King's Landing, returned to comfort her confused and lost nephew. He was greatly ashamed of his acts, but kept them well hidden, and very rare, later sending his aunt back away out of shame.
